Cape whales route to Hermanus
(July - November)
We drive the 130km, coastal route, to the popular Whale breeding ground in
Hermanus and Walker Bay.
Here the Whales can be seen from as close a 50m. The female whales come here
to give birth and it is an amazing sight to witness the birth of a calf.
Tours operate Daily.

What the whales might be seen doing
Spyhopping - poking just their heads out of the water.
Lobtailing - hitting the water with their tails
Sailing - sticking only their tails out of the water
Breaching - Jumping out of the water and landing on their backs
